Completion of the 60,000 sq.ft. River Medical Plaza on the Des Plaines campus of Holy Family Medical Center in 1998 prompted a call for new signage that addressed key wayfinding issues in the Plaza as well as the 252-bed hospital and 30,000 sq.ft. Golf Medical Plaza. Development of a new room numbering master plan for the entire facility resulted in a logical system of room numbers that also successfully responded to ADA mandates.
